I have been working in the Charity Sector for over 28 years. I am fully aware of barriers and the inequality that exists for marginalised communities.

I have extensive working knowledge of community and strategic development working with communities on equality related issues. I have experience of developing and successfully integrating projects for minority communities throughout Scotland and the UK.

At present I am the CEO of RISE Forth Valley – which stands for Race Inclusion Supporting Empowerment – we help racialised communities in Forth Valley Scotland UK encouraging inclusion, offering support and advocacy that respects cultural differences and creating safe places for work and learning.

As a consultant I deliver training on Equality, Discrimination, Cultural/Religious Awareness, Abuse and Trauma/Domestic Violence/abuse along with developing and delivering minorities community parenting programmes. My experience extends to having a good understanding of charity governance and law as I have been on several charities held positions.

I work to an ethos of delivering services for underrepresented, disadvantaged and traumatised communities that has structure, understanding and informed choice at the heart of its service.
